Join us for our annual Clean the Queen Volunteer Cleanup Week and make a real environmental impact in Charlotte this Earth Week! 🌎✨Envision Charlotte, in partnership with Keep Charlotte Beautiful and the City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services, invites companies, community groups, AND individuals to take part in a week of volunteer action — helping clean up the Queen City, build sound panels, and compete for fun prizes during April 20–24.

• Great team-building opportunity (or come solo and meet new people!)
• Friendly competition: most volunteers, most litter collected, most sound panels created
👑 Clean the Queen — How It Works:
Every year, hundreds of you show up and make this city shine, and honestly, it’s one of our favorite weeks of the year.
Here’s how it works:
• Two shifts per day — morning & afternoon
• Start at Innovation Barn for quick instructions + gear
• Head out with your friends, family, coworkers (or come solo!)
• Clean up the Queen City and feel wildly productive in just a few hours
Simple. Impactful. Kinda addictive. 💚
🆕 NEW THIS YEAR: Uptown Edition
On Tuesday, April 22 (Earth Day!), we’re partnering with Charlotte Center City Partners and Duke Energy to tackle Uptown during the afternoon shift.
Work Uptown? This one’s for you.
Walk over, get your instructions, and help clean up your own backyard — no commute, no excuses. Just you, your coworkers, and a cleaner city by 4pm.
🗓 Volunteer Schedule (April 20–24):
• 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM | 1st Shift
• 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM | Lunch
• 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM | 2nd Shift
✅ How to Sign Up:
• Check available shifts on our website calendar (April 20–24)
• Email [email protected] to reserve your spot (up to 10 per shift)
☕ Extra Perks:
• Change Please Coffee open 7 AM – 5 PM (coffee, tea, beer & wine)
• Book breakfast, lunch, or a happy hour with Cuisines Culinary & Catering
• Come early for coffee or stay after to network with other volunteers

Front lot + street parking on Otts & Seigle (carpool encouraged!)
👕 What to Bring:
• Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
• Refillable water bottle
• Gloves optional (provided if needed)
ℹ️ Day-Of:
• Meet outside at the start of your shift
• Litter teams travel off-site
• Sound panel teams stay onsite
