Clay Flowers
In past workshops we've featured dahlias, poppies, and sunflowers, and now participants can select their favorite flower design. We'll provide petal cutters for each flower type, and since the construction process is similar for all of them, everyone can work at their own pace while creating a unique piece. Add texture, details, and your own creative touches to make your flower truly one of a kind.
Your finished flower will measure approximately 8" in diameter and can be displayed indoors or outdoors after firing.
This workshop is a two-step process. During the class, you'll handbuild and decorate your flower. After the workshop, we will carefully dry and bisque fire your piece. Approximately 7–10 days later, you'll return to the studio to glaze your flower and prepare it for its final firing. Once the final firing is complete, your flower will be ready to take home and enjoy for years to come.
This class is beginner-friendly but designed for teens and adults ages 13 and up. No previous clay experience is necessary. Our instructor will guide you through each step of the handbuilding process, from shaping petals to assembling your finished flower.
Join us for a creative morning in the studio and leave with a handcrafted flower that will bloom forever! 🌻🌺🌼
