Clay 102: Surface Decoration Weekend Workshop

By popular demand: you asked, we answered! This workshop is geared toward potters with prior wheel experience who can center clay and raise the wall. It is perfect for those who consider themselves confident artists as well as those who simply like to doodle. On Saturday, participants will throw 2 pieces with a white Laguna Bmix and on Sunday they will return to decorate the surface using underglazes--either line drawing with the underglaze, or carving into it (scraffito), or a combination of the two techniques. Once bone dry, the Still Point team will then bisque fire your pieces, dip them clear glaze and fire them again, this time to cone 5/6. The results will be microwave, dishwasher and food safe. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your ware to complete the drying, glazing and double firing processes.
