Join the award-winning Latino band Classico Latino with guest star violinist Omar Puente in an evening of music from Cuba and Latin America.Featuring music from the group's fifth album, 'Havana Classic', the concert will mix soulful romantic boleros with classic salsa tunes and is sure to get your toes tapping.
Guest star Omar Puente, the virtuoso Cuban jazz violinist, is a regular collaborator with Classico Latino, and has performed as a soloist with most of the major Cuban and Latino musicians of the last 30 years. His extraordinary virtuosity and musical imagination, blended with Classico Latino's sumptuous sound, will leave you speechless.
Blending the passion and vitality of authentic Latin music with the smooth sound and virtuosity of the classical tradition, Classico Latino brings fresh perspective on the world of Latin-American music, breathing new life into songs from across the continent.
Drawing on the familiar Bolero and Tango as well as less-well-known rhythms such as the Pasillo and Joropo, Classico Latino's music tells the amazingly varied stories and emotions of Latin America.
