Classical Still-life Painting

What You’ll Learn:

In this class participants will learn to paint a still-life in oils employing the

techniques of the Old Masters. The first class will focus on composition and

developing the under-paint in one color. In the following classes, participants

will paint with color, from shadow to light to create the form.

Participants are expected to acquire the necessary materials for the class.

A list of required materials will be provided by the instructor after registration.

About the Instructor:

Alessandra is a painter trained in classical

painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art

and the Schuler School of Fine Arts, where she

developed a strong foundation in traditional

techniques. Alongside her personal studio

practices, she has extensive teaching experience

spanning various countries over the last three

decades. Most recently she relocated to McLean,

Virginia after living abroad for many years in Peru

and Spain.
