Classical Guitar for Adults: Group Trial & Play-Along

Ever wanted to learn classical guitar, but weren't sure where to start?

Come join us for a relaxed introductory session designed especially for adults who are curious about classical guitar — whether you're completely new, returning after many years, or simply want to experience playing music with others.

This is more than just a trial lesson. You'll get an introduction to the fundamentals of classical guitar, receive scores, and then have the opportunity to play together in a guided group session.

Learn
An introduction to classical guitar fundamentals and technique, led by Mr Low Kim Pin.

Play
Put what you've learnt into practice through a guided group play-along, with scores provided. No previous ensemble experience is required.

Enjoy performances by Mr Low Kim Pin and Duo YE, and discover the expressive possibilities of the classical guitar.

Mr Low Kim Pin is a graduate of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), where he majored in classical guitar.

Since graduation, he has taught in international schools, local school guitar ensembles and community guitar clubs. As an active performer, he has appeared at venues including the Esplanade Lee Foundation Theatre and the Singapore National Art Museum, as well as at private events, both as a soloist and in collaboration with other musicians. He has also been playing with ING Guitar Ensemble since 2024. Mr Low Kim Pin is also the founder of Kim Guitar Music.

DUO YE is an active amateur classical guitar duo formed in 2021 by Yiing Chow and Eric Goh. United by their shared passion for the classical guitar, the duo explores the expressive possibilities of two guitars through a repertoire that includes classical works, Japanese compositions and popular themes.

DUO YE has performed in Singapore and overseas, at venues ranging from the Esplanade Recital Studio and community libraries to places of worship and other performance spaces.

The duo continues to hone their craft and share their passion for the classical guitar and the unique possibilities of duo playing.

ING Guitar Ensemble

Founded in 2024, ING Guitar Ensemble is a community of guitarists united by a shared love of the classical guitar. Through solo, duo and ensemble music, the group explores the instrument's versatility and expressive possibilities while encouraging collaboration and shared music-making. The ensemble is currently directed by Mr Eric Goh.

Kim Guitar Music

Founded by Mr Low Kim Pin, Kim Guitar Music is a music studio dedicated to classical guitar education and musicianship. The studio focuses on developing sound technique, musical understanding and a strong foundation in classical guitar, while encouraging students to discover the enjoyment and expressive possibilities of the instrument.
