About this Event
Dear CLAS Research Administrators,
You are invited to attend the inaugural CLAS Research Administration Community Meeting on Wednesday, May 27, from 12:00–1:00 p.m.
This hybrid lunch meeting is intended to bring together CLAS departmental research administrators for a collegial, discussion‑focused session centered on shared tools, current challenges, and future planning.
The meeting will include brief remarks from Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies Lori Lubin and incoming Associate Dean Tessa Hill, followed by:
· Demonstrations of key reporting tools, including WALTER (developed by the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences) and School of Medicine reporting tools
· An open forum to discuss current issues, questions, and pain points in research administration
· Discussion of future training opportunities, including topics and formats of interest
· An initial conversation about a potential CLAS research administration retreat
While a virtual option will be available, in‑person attendance is strongly encouraged, as this lunch meeting is designed to support community building and peer connection across CLAS.
An RSVP and calendar invitation will be sent shortly by Jessica Horstman from the Dean’s Office, along with additional logistical details.
We look forward to your participation and input as we begin building a more connected CLAS research administration community.
Thank you,
-Maricela
