City of Water Day

Artichoke Dance Company will perform an excerpt of Within the Waters and teach a splash dance that demonstrates the water cycle celebrating City of Water Day. The splash dance is appropriate for and welcomes movers of all ages and abilities to join. From JJ Byrne, this event will then travel down 3rd Street toward the Gowanus Canal, tracing the path that water takes through the water shed, stopping at Gowanus Canal Conservancy for interactive activities and then onto the canal for a final dance performance.

The performance and workshop in JJ Byrne run 11-11:30am. The entire event from park to canal runs 11am-1pm.
