The City of Virginia Beach is thrilled to invite you to our annual Career Fair at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on October 6, 2026, from 12 PM to 6 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect directly with department contacts and learn more about the services they provide, along with current and future job openings. Our Human Resources team will be on-site to guide you through the application process, helping you align your background and interests with available positions.

City of Virginia Beach Departments Participating include Convention & Visitors Bureau, Elections Office, Emergency Communications & Citizen Services, Facilities, Fire Department, Human Resources, Human Services, Information Technology, Libraries, Parks & Recreation, Planning, Police Department, Public Utilities, Public Works, and Sheriff's Office.

Available Positions: The City offers a variety of career opportunities in fields including: Trade, clinical, nursing, engineering, paraprofessional, administrative support, financial, customer service, technical, recreational, public safety and operational positions.

Special Opportunity:  A few of our departments will be conducting on-the-spot job interviews for the following positions:  Case Management Clinicians, Nursing positions (LPNs & RNs), Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Paint, Custodial, Construction Inspector II/III, Waste Management Operators, CDL Drivers, Motor Equipment Operators, Maintenance Workers, and Dredge operators.
