About the City of Sarasota Tree Giveaway Program
The City of Sarasota‘s Tree Give-Away program, initiated in 2022, was created to help ensure the integrity and sustainability of the City’s tree canopy. It is funded by the City’s Tree Mitigation Fund, which is comprised of contributions from Tree Removal Permit fees in the City. The efforts supported by the Fund enable the City to replant trees through several different initiatives, like the Tree Give-Away program.
Note: 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞. A valid Florida driver license, ID card, or City utility bill with a City of Sarasota address will be accepted.
