City of Laurel FREE Youth Basketball Clinic - Boys 7-12

This is your chance to level up your game! Join us for a day filled with tips, tricks, and insights to help you excel both on the field and in the classroom. Coaches, athletes, and academic advisors will be ready to share their wisdom with you. Don't miss this opportunity to network with fellow student athletes and gain valuable knowledge that will set you up for success.

OBJECTIVE - To educate middle and early high school students on leveraging their athletic abilities to secure scholarships, grants, and other financial resources to fund their education.

TARGET AUDIENCE - Middle school students, high school freshmen, student-athletes, parents, and guidance counselors

DURATION - 2 hours. This time includes a clinic and a workshop.

CLINIC OVERVIEW - This segment is designed for basketball skills, drills, and a scrimmage.

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW - This segment is designed to guide students and their families through the various avenues available to student-athletes for financing their education. It will provide practical advice on securing athletic scholarships, understanding eligibility requirements, and navigating the recruitment process. Participants will also learn about alternative funding options, such as merit-based scholarships and financial aid packages that can complement athletic scholarships.
