Come hungry and experience the flavors of the Twin Cities!
Join us Thursday, December 10, at the Minneapolis Convention Center for the inaugural City of 10,000 Flavors – A Culinary Competition, a celebration of great food, friendly competition and local culinary talent.
Watch professional chefs and passionate amateur cooks compete within their respective divisions, putting their creativity and culinary skills to the test. Each competitor will prepare an entrée, with dishes judged on complexity, presentation, flavor and how well the dish represents the individual cook. One winner from each division will take home a $5,000 grand prize.

This isn’t just a competition to watch—you get to taste, vote and help choose a winner!
Samples of the competitors’ entrée dishes will be available for purchase for just $1 per sample ticket. Sample your way through the competition, discover your favorites and cast your vote. The competitor who collects the most sample tickets will take home the Joe Kelber People’s Choice Award and a $500 prize. A cash bar will also be available.

Want to Compete?
City of 10,000 Flavors features separate Professional and Amateur divisions. Professional cooks and chefs, including current or former culinary professionals, and amateurs who have never cooked professionally are encouraged to register by October 15, 2026. Participants must be 18 or older.
