David Lynch wasn't just a film director. He was one of those rare artists whose way of looking at the world seemed to answer a creative (and perhaps even existential) urge. Many know of his first feature, Eraserhead, but very few have experienced at its most powerful: projected in a dark room with the sound properly turned up. Whether you see it as a nightmare, a comedy, a film about parenthood, anxiety, or simply a way to escape, it is a work that almost demands personal interpretation.
