Join us at the Alliance Française de Pretoria on Thursday, 17 September at 6pm for a special CinéClub event presented by Digby Ricci, exploring a remarkable chapter in the history of French cinema.
Under the title “A Golden Age. There were giants then: four pioneering icons of French cinema”, Digby will take us on a journey through the work and legacy of four influential figures who helped shape French cinema: Abel Gance, Marcel Carné, Edwige Feuillère and Alain Delon.
A popular lecturer on literature, theatre and film, Digby brings a wealth of academic and practical experience to the discussion. He completed his BA Honours at Wits University and MA at the University of Toronto, and has lectured at Wits and RAU (now UJ). He was also Head of English at King David, Linksfield, and is currently HOD English at Roedean.
