Student Night is CIM’s Vancouver Branch premier annual event. The aim of Student & Industry Night is to connect UBC, SFU, and BCIT Students within the Mining and Earth Sciences programs with Industry Professionals for an evening of networking and the presentation of thousands of dollars in scholarships, awards and prizes for Graduate and Undergraduate Students.
Speaker Bios:
Ryan Weymark is a mining executive, entrepreneur, and investor with extensive experience in mine development, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and building businesses in the natural resources sector. He is currently President of Fuse Advisors (part of SLR) and a Partner of the Fiore Group, a private investment group focused on the natural resources sector.
Robert McLeod was born to a mining family in Stewart BC and spent his early career exploring with major and junior companies. As an entrepreneur, Rob is founder of Full Metal Minerals, Underworld Resources and several junior companies before becoming president and CEO of IDM Mining until 2019 when the company consolidated with Ascot Resources.
