Christmas Truce Match: Truth or Myth

Join us at The Green Howards Museum on December 4, 2026 at 5:30 PM (GMT) for an engaging in-person event exploring the fascinating story behind the famous Christmas Truce match. Discover whether this iconic moment from history is truth or myth as we delve into its background and significance.

The evening begins with a welcome glass of Gluhwein in our circle room before heading up to our impressive Normanby Room for the main event.

A platter of german sausage, breads and cheeses will be served accompaned by a glass of german wine or beer before our talk begins.

Green Howards Officer, Jonathan Cunningham is our speaker, and he will guide you through the truths and myths of that infamous Christmas day event.
