Soak up the creative atmosphere of a working pottery studio and join the studio community of makers. Work under the tutorage of artist Carys Martin to learn the techniques and tricks to creating in clay and to explore the different surface decoration options.
Its early, but I know there are a few of you who love to plan ahead with your Xmas creations Join me in the studio Saturday 16th November 1-3pm and create your own Christmas Santa, Snowman, Angel or Xmas Tree. You will be given a pre made, leather hard cone shape, made from white clay to build upon. Carys will share some making and decorating techniques with you and you will be able to create and decorate using underglazes and tissue transfers.
I will then carefully dry your piece before its first firing and will clear glaze and fire your piece. It will be ready for collection from the studio in 2-3 weeks.
