Ilford’s most magical holiday event is just around the corner! Join us for the Christmas Light Switch On Event on 30th November 2024 as we kick off the festive season with stunning lights, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and a whole lot more! Here's everything you can look forward to on the big day.

🎄 Christmas Light Switch On at 5pm

Be there for the grand unveiling of Ilford’s brand-new Christmas Light Scheme! Over 50 dazzling lights, from intricate motifs to braided designs, will illuminate Clements Road, Chadwick Road, High Road, and Cranbrook Road at 5pm, filling the town centre with holiday magic.

🎆 Fireworks Displays

Celebrate the switch-on with two five-minute fireworks displays set to music, lighting up the night sky and adding a spectacular finish to this magical moment!

🌟 Activities & Entertainment All Day Long

Meet Batman and the Batmobile

From 12pm to 6pm, Batman will be stationed on the High Road in front of Exchange Ilford with his iconic Batmobile – a must-see for superhero fans!

Santa’s Grotto at The Exchange

Bring the kids to meet Santa from 12pm to 7pm at The Exchange. Snap a festive photo and make a memory that’ll last all season!

Archery, Assault Course, and Face Painting

Enjoy festive fun at The Exchange from 12pm to 5pm with an Archery Competition, Assault Course, and Face Painting – perfect for getting the whole family into the holiday spirit!

Live Performances and Talent Show

Free Performance Stage: From 12pm to 2pm with music and local talent.

Talent Show: From 3pm to 5pm, see amazing acts and cheer on our local stars.

The Last Christmas Sing Along: Join in for a heart-warming sing-along at 6pm – a true community celebration of Christmas!

Meet Festive Characters

Catch the Dinosaur Ride, Snowy the Lion, Captain Calamity, and The Grinch across Exchange Ilford, High Road, and Mercato Ilford from 12pm to 5pm.

🎁 Ilford’s First-Ever Christmas Market Chalets

Wander through our charming Christmas Market Chalets, where you’ll find seasonal treats, handmade crafts, and unique holiday gifts. Open throughout the season, they’re a perfect stop for holiday shopping or festive snacks.

🎉 Evening Fun at Mercato – After 7pm

After the light switch on, head to Mercato Ilford for a festive evening with live music, DJ sets, and vibrant performances that’ll keep the holiday spirit going all night.
