Meet at Travelodge reception, 20 Middlesex Street, Aldgate, London E1 7EX (2 mins from Aldgate Tube Station)
The areas around Shoreditch and Whitechapel have literally become Adrian’s hunting ground for Street Photography. A place he loves, explores and immerses himself into. On this course Adrian will share something of this with us.
This is a full days Street Photography workshop hosted by Adrian who has a his love for the vibrancy, culture, quirkiness and opportunities these parts of London provide.
We will meet at a local Travelodge reception, 5 minutes from Brick Lane, for introductions, expectations and a few tips before heading into the incredible area of Brick Lane and Shoreditch.
An area full of history, think Jack the Ripper, culture, street art, market traders, entertainers and, of course amazing street food.
We will remain here, guided by Adrian until about 4pm before taking a break and then getting the tube over to China Town and Soho for a time of night street photography.
Full of life, sounds, colour (a bit of rain actually helps) China Town and Soho, two districts adjacent to each other offer a playground of opportunities for the Street Photographer.
Here we will continue to use the techniques from earlier but learn how to adapt them for lower light. Each area offers endless opportunities to get creative with settings, light, the abstract and more.
We will end around 9pm but of course you are free to slip off earlier or stay longer, Adrian often stays out!
Requirements:
DSLR, Mirrorless Camera or Phone
Fully charged battery and memory card.
Appropriate clothing for potential inclement weather.
For the evening you can bring a lightweight tripod if you wish but not essential.
Investment:
This is an immersive street photography day, requested by others so the cost has been kept to a minimum. At just £120.00 or Early Bird cost of £90 if booked before 30.09.24. (That’s around £10 an hour with a professional photographer.)
