It’s 1944, and America’s favorite homemaker, Elizabeth Lane, has been winning hearts with her Smart Housekeeping columns about life on a cozy Connecticut farm. There’s just one little problem—Liz doesn’t have a farm, a husband, or even a clue how to cook!
When her editor decides to send a returning war hero to spend Christmas at her (entirely imaginary) home, Liz must fake the perfect holiday with the help of a borrowed farmhouse, a borrowed fiancé, and a borrowed baby! What could possibly go wrong?
