Christmas Eve - Sacred Being
“Incarnation” is a word that means that God’s presence came to dwell among all people, and we believe this happened in a special way in the birth of Jesus. All creation has always been imbued with the Creator’s brilliance. This season, we have been remembering the call to shine with this holy light. So come shine with us this night as we seek to embrace the incarnate presence of God that is with us! 7 PM is our Candlelight service with Christmas carols, Bible readings, a sermon, and candle lighting. Come celebrate this holy night with us.
Please note that we will have two services on Christmas Eve: a 4:00 PM Children's Service with a Godly Play telling of the Christmas story and carols (lasting about 25 minutes and concluding with a free supper) and our traditional 7:00 PM Candlelight service.
Saint James is located on the corner of Fair and Pearl Streets in Kingston, NY. Free parking is available at the church's parking lot at 29 Pearl Street, Kingston, NY and at the Ulster County parking lot next door. Please enter the church through the door found at our parking lot, which leads to an elevator.
