Chris Brydge is a celebrated bassist, composer, educator and band leader with over 30 years of experience. He has released 4 albums as a band leader that have been described as “sublime…brilliantly performed” (All About Jazz), “individually distinctive” (Style Weekly) and “an absolutely masterful collection” (VEER Magazine).Brydge is the principal bassist in the Virginia Symphony Jazz Orchestra and Roy Muth Big Band and has performed and recorded with world-renowned artists across many genres including John Abercrombie, Justin Kauflin, Steve Wilson, Joe Locke, Sheila Jordan, René Marie, Carmen Bradford, Freda Payne, Frank Foster, Stephanie Nakasian, Lorna Loft, Shirley Jones, Debbie Boone, Bernadette Peters and many more!
