About this Event

Raised Voices: Music of Freedom and Belonging

Join us for an afternoon and evening choral music inspired by or grappling with the promise of freedom and belonging.

On the 250th anniversary of the American Declarationb of Indepedence, we explore how these ideas have been embraced, contested and reclaimed by different people and for different causes.

What does it mean to raise one's voice for liberty? Who is allowed to join in? And how can we do so freely and yet together?

Such questions have invited musical as well as philosophical answers, and we invite you to consider them with us this Fourth of July.

All voices are welcome to this unaccompanied workshop, led by renowned Renaissance specialist Greg Skidmore.

Once you've bought your ticket, please keep an eye out for a follow up email from Eventbrite asking a coule of registratio details such as voice type!
