Choose your own mini craft adventure: A mindful making and tea experience
About this Event
Take some time out of your Sunday to rest your mind and go on a mini mindful crafting adventure.
Your host will be Trish Talob, a meditation teacher and artist-researcher who explores the question: "What can traditional crafts that continue to thrive in a machine-made world teach humans about staying human in a digital world?” (https://www.instagram.com/daily.warosoku/)
Choose one or more of the following activities:
🕯️ Make mini hand-rolled beeswax candles for meditation ($5, >10 mins)
🪡 Bind a mini Japanese-style notebook ($10, 10-15 mins)
🪨 Create a mini rock garden inspired by Japanese karesansui ($25, 15-20mins)

Bookings not required. You can choose your activity and pay on the day. Come anytime between 1:30-4:00pm.
Keep in mind that the event is open to anyone passing by or in the shop where the event space is located in. If you don't want to miss out on a particular craft, you can pay ahead of time and reserve your craft materials.
Location
2nd floor of the Simply Native store. Please note that the event space can only be accessed via stairs.

Just bring yourself! No craft experience required.
