*GOING TO PARADE*: We will meet from 7:30am at Lake's Edge and leave in convoy at 8:15am to Hepburn House. We will participate in the role of supporters for the elders at Hepburn House (health concerns permitting). IF YOU WANT TO BE INVOLVED IN THE PARADE, CONTACT [email protected] NOW. For those just watching, the Parade starts at 10:00am and will last about an hour. You will be able to join up with the rest of us afterwards.
*GOING TO CARNIVAL*: Participation in the Parade and/or displaying your car at the Carnival gets you free entry. We will once again have a full display of cars, and our branded marquee. Come over to say hi, or spend the whole day with us - everyone’s welcome! PLEASE NOTE: ONCE YOUR CAR IS ON-SITE YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO MOVE IT UNTIL THE CLOSE OF THE CARNIVAL.
*NOT GOING TO CARNIVAL*: For those who want a daytrip, but don’t want to visit Carnival, we have arranged a drive to Kyneton with a history walk of the town. Our first stop is at the Convent Daylesford. From there we will travel to our lunch spot at Daylesford Cider. In the afternoon, we will make a relaxing and casual drive over to Kyneton. Kyneton is a shopaholic's paradise. Historic Piper Street is lined with fantastic new and vintage clothing boutiques, homewares and art galleries, milliners and garden nurseries. To take advantage of this, we will visit the local visitor centre to pick up a Historic Kyneton Town Walks Map and discover the beauties of this village. Depending on timings, we have the option of visiting the Campaspe River Walk or the Kyneton Botanic Gardens. If the weather is nice, we can go for a swim in Lake Daylesford - just behind our houses.
*DINNER*: Will be our traditional “family” barbecue at Lake's Edge. Meet from 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. Dinner is included in the accommodation price, day visitors will be asked to contribute $10 - all Club Members and guests are welcome.
BRING: Weather appropriate clothing, picnic, rug, chair, and drinks. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase on-site.
ROADS: Sealed
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: A shuttle-bus usually runs to Daylesford from Footscray Station. Check with ChillOut for more details.
PETS: Please confirm with ChillOut. NOTE - Pets are not permitted at our dinner accommodation.
COST: Parade FREE (must be pre-registered), Carnival usually around $35, Dinner $10
