Description:

This class aims to introduce children to the basics of energy management and Reiki in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way. Through interactive activities and discussions, children will learn how to recognize and balance their energy levels, understand the importance of self-care, and practice simple Reiki techniques for relaxation, coping skills, and healing. The class also emphasizes family involvement, offering tools and activities that can be easily integrated into daily life, fostering a supportive and harmonious home environment.

Energy + Electrical Body

Introduction to the concept of energy and how it flows through our bodies.

Understanding the body's energy field and its connection to our physical and emotional well-being.

Simple, child-friendly explanation of how our bodies are like batteries that need to be recharged.

4 Levels of Energy

Exploration of the four levels of energy: Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Spiritual.

Activities to help children identify and understand their own energy levels.

Discussion on how energy levels impact daily life and how to maintain a healthy balance.

5 Principles of Reiki

Introduction to the five guiding principles of Reiki:

Just for today, do not anger.

Just for today, do not worry.

Be grateful.

Work hard and honestly.

Be kind to all living things.

Interactive exercises to help children internalize these principles in a fun and engaging way.

What is Reiki?

Explanation of Reiki as a gentle healing technique that promotes relaxation and well-being.

Simple demonstration of how Reiki works and how it can be used for self-care.

Discussion on the universal life force energy that flows through all living things.

Introduction to Usui, the founder of Reiki.

Healing with Reiki

Introduction to basic Reiki hand positions for self-healing.

Tips for using Reiki in everyday situations, such as calming down before a test or when feeling overwhelmed.

Guided practice session where children can experience the calming effects of Reiki.

Take Home Activities for the Whole Family

Suggestions for family activities that reinforce energy management and Reiki principles, such as family meditations, energy-awareness activities, and daily affirmations.

Providing workbooks for parents to continue the practice at home.

Encouraging open discussions within the family about energy, emotions, and well-being.

Please note: Reiki Level One Attunement is given prior to class at a distance using distant reiki

About your teacher:

Shawna is a dedicated educator with 14 years of experience teaching students from kindergarten through 12th grade. She has extensive experience leading professional development workshops for teachers, specializing in the integration of technology into the classroom. Shawna is passionate about creating a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported. She believes in the power of strong relationships and strives to connect with each student, making her classroom a welcoming space for all.
In addition to her extensive teaching career, Shawna is also a Reiki Master and yoga enthusiast with a deep passion for energy healing and holistic wellness. Her journey into natural healing began with a profound curiosity, which soon evolved into a heartfelt mission to help others unlock their own healing potential. Shawna is also dedicated to supporting individuals touched by cancer, guiding them toward balance and inner peace through Reiki.

Preregistration is required. Class fees are non-refundable. Fee can be transferred to a different date if communicated at least 2 weeks in advance and if minimum class size is met. Otherwise, no refunds, transfers or credits are allowed. You must be present for the entire class to receive your certificate.
