Saturday, October 10th | 6:00 PM | $85 per person
Chateau Cellars Wine Bar
Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the beauty, history, and flavors of Tuscany with Linda Cecchi, owner of Casa di Monte, a historic estate nestled in the heart of Chianti.
This engaging and flavorful masterclass will guide guests through the story of Casa di Monte, its winemaking traditions, and a carefully curated selection of wines that showcase the character and authenticity of the region. Linda will share insights into tasting techniques, food pairing principles, and the unique aromas and flavors that make Chianti one of Italy's most beloved wine regions.
Complementing the wines is a thoughtfully prepared dinner inspired by the traditional Tuscan table, featuring classic regional dishes paired to enhance each wine's expression.
A Legacy in Chianti
The roots of Casa di Monte trace back to the late 19th century when Angelo Oreste Simoncini began his agricultural pursuits in Montespertoli, producing straw used to create the world-famous Florentine hats. In 1912, he purchased the buildings and land that still form the heart of the estate today.
The property is centered around a remarkable watchtower dating back to the year 1000, later expanded between the 14th and 17th centuries before becoming part of the working farm and winery that continues the family's legacy today.
