As part of Looping The Loops Fabulous event MAKING MORE WAVES at the equally as fabulous venue CLIFTONVILLE ARK - I'd like to present to you my play- with live Opera - Chi La Fa L'Aspetti' - What goes around comes around - Set in 1905 in a dilapidated church on a hill above Rome - Father Michael has cancer of the brain- He's hallucinating that his ceiling - not unlike the Sistine Chapel - is damaged and flaking - It's only in his ravaged mind- It's plain and bare- The Vatican send up a young, ambitious Priest - Father Paulo - to baby sit for him- He's pissed off - He wants to be down the hill where all the action is! On news of his arrival Father Micael travelled to Naples to secure the services of Italys most famous contemporary Ceiling painter - Vincenzo Cardosi - When he arrives with Soprano Wife Angelina - We find out why he would take on such a job?Written and Directed by Dean Stalham
Starring Leila Saleh is Angelina Cardosi
Leila is a singer who performs opera, musical theatre, and backing vocals for the folk-jazz band, The Alice Phelps Band. She studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence.
She recently performed the role of Barbarina (The Marriage of Figaro) for GAPfest; other roles include Papagena, First Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Angelica (Trial by Jury), Belinda, and First/Second Witch (Dido and Aeneas). She enjoys performing as part of an opera chorus and has done so for Northern Opera Group (Savitri) and St Albans Chamber Opera (Hansel and Gretel, Die Fledermaus, and The Pirates of Penzance). Musicals have included West Side Story (Shark Girl) and A Little Night Music (Fredrika).
Leila has had the opportunity to perform across the UK with The Alice Phelps Band, appearing at renowned venues and events such as the Oxford Folk Festival, Royal Academy of Arts, Jamboree, The Green Note, National Portrait Gallery, and Rich Mix London.

Giovanni Gioachin is an Italian actor and singer with a rich background in musical theatre.
Trained in Italy, Giovanni performed in notable productions such as "Dolce Charity" and appearing in various short films.
After moving to London, he continued his artistic journey by studying at Identity School of Acting and is currently furthering his training at Collective Acting School.
In addition to acting, he wrote, directed, and performed in the original short play "A Little Push," which debuted at the Union Theatre.
Most recently, Giovanni took the stage in the production of "Everyman" with Collective Acting School, showcasing his versatility and dedication to his craft.
Martin Head is Father Michael
Martin studied at the famous Birmingham School of Speech and Drama- leaving in 1975 he headed for the bright lights of London! He played the role in the original production at the Brockley Jack Theatre- So excited to have him back on board! He owns the part! Dx
