Cherry blossom. Soft washes. Touches of gold. Join us at Where Inspiration Blooms for a beautiful **Cherry Blossom Abstract Watercolour Workshop** with the wonderfully talented Kate Rebecca Leach of Essoldo Design.
Kate’s classes have been completely selling out since she began teaching with us — and it’s easy to see why. Warm, encouraging and endlessly inspiring, she makes abstract watercolour feel accessible to everyone. This workshop is perfect for absolute beginners who’ve never picked up a paintbrush, as well as those with previous experience looking to loosen up and explore something new.
During this seasonal session, you’ll create your own botanical abstract inspired by the fleeting beauty of cherry blossom. Kate will guide you through:
• Using organic watercolour shapes to build decorative abstract designs
• Working with a fresh spring colour palette
• Combining watercolour with ink details
• Adding metallic accents and embellishment for that signature shimmer
You’re welcome to draw on your own inspiration or explore Kate’s portfolio of floral and abstract designs for ideas. By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a completely unique artwork that captures the spirit of the season.
All materials are included, though you’re welcome to bring your favourite brushes or supplies if you prefer.
Expect a relaxed, joyful day of creativity — plus tea and coffee from local favourites Two Spoons and plenty of homemade cake (with gluten-free options available). Just bring a packed lunch and settle in for a day of colour, creativity and a little touch of gold.
