About The Drowning House. . .
A brand-new horror thriller from award-winning author Cherie Priest! A violent storm washes a mysterious house onto Marrowstone Island, stopping the heart of the only woman who knows what it means. Now Charlotte Culpepper is dead, and her grandson Simon is missing. Determined to get answers, Simon’s childhood friends Melissa and Leo make the trek back to Marrowstone to find him, but they aren't prepared for what's waiting to find them...
Cherie Priest is the author of two dozen books and novellas including mysteries and gothic horror projects The Toll, The Family Plot, and the Philip K. Dick Award nominee Maplecroft; but she is perhaps best known for the steampunk pulp adventures of the Clockwork Century, beginning with Boneshaker. Her works have been nominated for the Hugo and Nebula awards for science fiction and have won the Locus Award (among others)—and over the years, they’ve been translated into nine languages in eleven countries.
Kat Richardson lives in Western Washington, writing and editing Crime, Mystery, Science Fiction, and Fantasy. She is the award-winning and bestselling author of the Greywalker paranormal detective novels, and a freelance editor of genre fiction. As a former journalist and non-fiction editor, she has a wide range of publications on topics from technology, software, and security, to history, health, and precious metals. A lifelong fan of crime and mystery fiction, and noir films, she is also the author of the Science Fiction Thriller Blood Orbit—winner of the 2019 Endeavour Award—under the pseudonym K. R. Richardson. She is a member of International Thriller Writers, and a past-president of the Northwest chapter of Mystery Writers of America.
