ADAMA Events is really honoured to invite you all to join medicine-folk artist Charlotte Mabon for an unforgettable evening celebrating the release of her debut album, River of Soul — a spellbinding collection of poetic, prayerful songs that flow between grief and grace, offering an elixir for our fragile modern world.Rooted in the international folk tradition yet infused with meditative, transcendent textures, River of Soul blends layered harmonies, guitar, and world instruments, creating a rich fusion of ancient and contemporary soundscapes. Charlotte’s voice carries the ache and beauty of our times — her lyrics a deep remembering of what it means to be human, to feel, to belong, and to love this Earth.
Charlotte’s songwriting journey began with a life-changing voyage across the Atlantic to the Brazilian Amazon, where — amidst grief and awe — the first songs poured through her. Since then, her music has found its way into community songbooks and hearts across the world, known for its power to help people feel and heal.
Charlotte is also the visionary creator of the international charity album Each Life Sacred — a powerful collaborative project raising funds for the children of Palestine. Conceived, curated and brought to life by Charlotte over many months, the album features more than twenty acclaimed world and folk artists, including Anoushka Shankar and Johnny Flynn. Its title track, written and performed by Charlotte, epitomises her music’s invitation to face our grief and uncomfortable truths — and her commitment to music as a force for compassion, healing, and social change.
Described as “The Joni Mitchell of the Medicine Music world,” Charlotte’s work bridges folk, activism and wellbeing. Influenced by years singing in plant medicine circles, studies in Indian classical music, and a background in poetry and philosophy, her songs invite deep listening and connection.
With recent performances on the main stages of Medicine Festival, Unearthed, Buddhafield, and her debut at Glastonbury 2025, Charlotte continues to enchant audiences with her luminous presence and heartfelt artistry.
At a time when collective grief and climate anxiety run high, River of Soul is an invocation — calling us home to the soul of things.
