Charles Phoenix: An Afternoon at Bullocks Wilshire

Friends of Bullocks Wilshire presents … retro pop culture, style, and design expert Charles Phoenix for an enchanted afternoon at LA’s iconic Art Deco landmark, Bullocks Wilshire, now Southwestern Law School.
Charles begins the experience with highlights of the spectacular porte cochere. The tour continues in the grand entrance, perfume hall, saddlery, and men’s dept. Then to the 2nd floor’s French Room and fine dress salon. Everyone will be seated for Charles’ show-and-tell featuring five decades of vintage Bullocks Wilshire fashions and other special artifacts from the archive. On the 5th floor, in the former ladies’ lounge, Charles presents a Retro Bullocks Wilshire Slide Show followed by light refreshments and sweets served in the legendary tea room.
Stylish attire encouraged but not expected.
