The Box Factory for the Arts presents Char Jones & The Freedom Band on Saturday, March 14, 7-9PM. Guests can expect a soulful evening with Char's original music as well as fan favorites by artists such as Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, The Beatles, and more. So get ready to be moved "in the moment" and groove all the way home! Tickets are $20 for cabaret seating and $15 general admission at ticketstripe.com/charjones, or $20 at the door. Free admission for children 12 and under. A cash bar will be available.
Char Jones's music styling "reflects the essence of [her] soulful gospel roots, jazz influence, and inspirational mission." She says, "Writing music allows me to put my life story to a melody line," and promises "a soul-stirring evening of music.” Chicago-based Jones describes herself as "singer, songwriter, recording artist, mental health advocate, thinker, champion for literacy, and motivator."
The band includes: Char Jones (vocals), Roy Payne (keys), and William "Lil Will" Jones (drums).
