🌌 Chamise Peak No-Moon Star Hike 🌌
Join ROAR on Saturday, October 10th for a nighttime hike up Chamise Peak and an opportunity to capture some incredible star photos!
🥾 The hike is approximately 2 miles up with a very gradual, beginner-friendly grade. We’ll take a comfortable pace with plenty of time to enjoy the evening.
🕢 Start time: 7:30 PM
⭐ Goal: Reach the summit around 9:00 PM for photos
🌑 No moon = dark skies and great conditions for seeing and photographing the stars!
What to bring: • Headlamp or flashlight
• Water
• Snacks for the summit
• Warm clothes/layers — temperatures can get chilly at night, especially while we’re hanging out at the summit taking pictures
• Phone or camera for pictures
📸 STAR PHOTOGRAPHY
A tripod makes a huge difference when taking long-exposure night photos and getting those crisp stars. ROAR has 6 tripods available to lend out, so you don't need your own photography gear to give it a try.
We'll spend some time at the summit taking pictures, enjoying the night sky, and hanging out before hiking back down together.
New faces are always welcome. Come for the hike, the stars, and the connection. 🌲✨
