Course Introduction:

The ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) Training Course is tailored for security professionals aiming to augment their expertise in cloud security. This program encompasses diverse topics including data security, cloud infrastructure security, and information security. Participants will gain insights into safeguarding data centres, cloud environments, and cloud-based data access. Emphasis is placed on cloud security methodologies, solutions, and strategies for identifying and addressing security breaches effectively. The training encompasses an in-depth study of cloud computing technologies, specifically Microsoft Azure, alongside security practices pertinent to physical infrastructure, access control to cloud resources, and the safeguarding of sensitive data. Topics also include load balancers, security operations centres (SOCs), and measures for ensuring security within cloud environments. Successful completion of the training qualifies participants to sit for the CCSP exam. Upon passing the exam, individuals earn the CCSP certification, widely recognized as a benchmark of proficiency in cloud security within the industry.

Prerequisite:

The prerequisites for the ISC2 CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) course typically include:

· Experience Requirement: Candidates must have a minimum of five years cumulative paid work experience in information technology, of which three years must be in information security and one year in one or more of the six domains of the CCSP CBK. Earning CSA’s CCSK certificate can be substituted for one year
of experience in one or more of the six domains of the CCSP CBK. Earning the CISSP credential can be substituted for the entire CCSP experience requirement

· Education Requirement: Alternatively, candidates can substitute a one-year experience requirement with a four-year college degree (or regional equivalent) in a related field (e.g., IT, information security).

· A candidate that doesn’t have the required experience to become a CCSP may become an Associate of ISC2 by successfully passing the CCSP examination.
The Associate of ISC2 will then have six years to earn the five years required experience. You can learn more about CCSP experience requirements and how to account for part-time work and internships at www.isc2.org/Certifications/CCSP/CCSP-Experience-Requirements.

These prerequisites ensure that candidates have a solid foundation and sufficient experience in IT and information security domains before pursuing the CCSP certification.

What will you learn?

· List and describe the five key features needed to meet the NIST definition of cloud computing.

· Compare the different types of as-a-service models (like IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and frameworks used in cloud computing.

· Explain ways to protect data when it’s stored (data at rest) and when it’s being transferred (data in motion).

· Discuss methods for securing data, classifying it, ensuring privacy, complying with regulations, and collaborating with authorities during legal investigations.

· Compare forensic analysis processes in traditional corporate data centres with those in cloud computing environments.
