Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training – How to Respond in an Emergency
The CERT training program, sponsored by FEMA, offers a combination of online coursework and in-person, hands-on training focused on disaster preparedness, basic life-saving aid, fire safety, and light search and rescue. This training is a great opportunity to build useful skills that allow you to help in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. There are hands-on practical elements including using a fire extinguisher, cribbing, and a mock disaster scenario. No prior experience is required and participants who complete the full course receive the national CERT certification.
💲 Cost: $40 to cover provided supplies, due at the first in-person class
📅 In-person Class Dates: October 2, 9, 23, and 30 from 6:00-9:00 PM
📍 Location: Weber County Warehouse Training Center, 1387 Depot Drive, Ogden
