COSPLAY SIGN UP DETAILS: We love to celebrate cosplayers and the amazing characters they bring to life through vast amounts of creativity, ingenuity, and some insane levels of out of the box thinking.
That's why we are very happy to announce we have a cosplay section to allow for the ever-growing crowds to feel seen, be heard, and show off their fantastic works.
At the Peoria Comic and Toy Show we will have 3 categories: Kids Cosplay, the Cosplay Showcase , and finally the main event - the Cosplay Contest.
Due to increasing popularity we are also implementing quantity limits for entrants in each category.
We are also giving people a way to sign up in advance online!
Kids Cosplay - Age cut off for what we at QuadCon are qualifying as "adults" vs "kids" is 13 years old. 13 and under to be precise. Please note that all kids entering are required to have the permissions of a parent / guardian in order to enter the contest. See our official rules for more details. Cut-off for the Kid's section will be set to 20 entrants. All kid cosplay entries will receive Quad Con poster. A random drawing from all the kid entries will receive a $50 gift card to be spent with 1 of the 200 vendors/artists spots spread throughout the Peoria Civic Center.
Cosplay Showcase - This section has been separated from the Contest in an on-going effort to give time and acknowledgement to the many wonderful people that show up to our shows rocking some AMAZING cosplays. Whether it's a choice on their part that they don't feel comfortable in the contest, or they may not meet the requirements we have had to set forth for the contest. Regardless of the reason why, we believe that cosplay is truly for everyone, and if you feel awesome, look awesome, or just want to be seen, we fully encourage your participation in our Showcase! Something to note is the Cosplay Showcase is solely for showing off your cosplay and is not eligible for any prizes/winnings. This section is still intended for the "adults" of the group, meaning ages 14 and up. This section will be set to a maximum of 50 entrants, as there will not be any pre-judging or judging required for the entrants. A random drawing from all the cosplay showcase entries will receive a $50 gift card to be spent with 1 of the vendors/artists spread throughout the convention center.
Cosplay Contest - This is one of the main draws that many come to see or support those they know entered in the contest. We require that only ages 14 and up enter, and that you meet the requirements set forth in our official rules regarding construction and building. Capacity will be limited to 30 entrants, as we need to allow the judges time for the pre-judging process and getting everyone ready to walk the stage. As this is a category where prizes will be awarded for the best entrant(s) so be prepared to answer questions and elaborate on your cosplay's construction or modifications. We are pleased to be able to allow entrants the chance to pre-register for the cosplay sections prior to the show, however, this will be the first QuadCon we are implementing this technology so please bear with us.

If you don't want to pre-register we will also have manual forms to fill out as well as QR codes to access the digital forms at the sign-up table.
Please remember that spaces are limited and submissions will be handled in the order they are received.
Once capacity is reached the online forms will be suspended and in person sign-ups for that category will end as well.
The day of the contest anyone who has pre-registered will be required to check in at the sign up table no later than 12pm or your position in the contest may be eliminated. Due to the limiting of entrants this will allow anyone present that was unable to pre-register a chance to participate.
The cut-off time for any and all entrants will be 12pm , this applies to all online and in person sign ups.
The Contests and Showcase will kick off around 2pm on Saturday.
Sunday will have the Cosplay Showcase only and will start around 1:00pm. Feel free to cosplay the same character 2 days in a row.
