Join us on May 2nd in celebrating the centennial of the Robbinsdale Library, a building that has served the community for generations as a hub of learning and connection. Originally opened in 1926, the historic library building was created through the efforts of the Robbinsdale Library Club and became a centerpiece for both public education and the city’s growing local history collection. Today, it remains a landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to serve the community in new ways.The Robbinsdale Historical Society museum and the Robbin Gallery will both be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Historical Society, founded in 1978, preserves and shares Robbinsdale’s story through its collections, exhibits, and archives. The Robbin Gallery is a nonprofit artists’ cooperative that brings art to the community through rotating exhibits, events, and opportunities for local artists.
During the celebration, visitors can explore a special exhibit in the gallery highlighting the history of the library building and its lasting role in the community.
