Please join us to celebrate the life of David “Doc” Kane — a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and never stopped reinventing himself.
Doc was known to many as a proud member of the Ol’ Timers Motorcycle Club, where he found not just friendship, but a true brotherhood. He wore his patch with honor and lived by the values he believed in — especially “Family First,” a belief that extended to everyone he held close, including his best friend, Dixie. I am sure his dog, Dixie misses him as I do.
Doc’s life took him many places and through many chapters. After the passing of his wife Chris in Alaska, Doc made the move to Minnesota at the invitation of his brother, Dan. He spent some time with his brother before settling into his own place. He built a life surrounded by friendship, motorcycles, independence, and the things he loved most. It was there that he passed peacefully, with Dixie by his side.
Doc had a spirit for adventure that never faded. Whether it was chasing the wild side like becoming the world’s first “Chair Walker,” or heading out on an Easter Sunday ride in the unpredictable Minnesota weather simply because I said, “there isn’t any snow or ice on the roads and the sun is shining.” knowing of course that it was damn cold out — Doc was always ready to go. If you knew him, you knew he rarely said no to life.
Above all, Doc was kind, honorable, and genuine. He cherished the people around him, leaving behind countless memories filled with laughter, loyalty, and love.
We would love for everyone who is able to stop by, pay their respects, and say farewell to a truly great man. We would love for all who can to join us in giving Doc the sendoff he deserves — surrounded by the people whose lives he touched. We like to think he’ll be watching over us, seeing the loyalty, love, and respect he valued so deeply returned to him.
This will be an open-house style gathering, with photos and memories of Doc displayed. Feel free to come as you are, share a story, and celebrate a life well-lived.
