Celebrating the life of Nick Konyi

Please join us as we gather to celebrate the life of Nick Konyi — a beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness, humour, silly grin and laugh, touched everyone lucky enough to know him. Whether he was wrenching on a project in the garage, pulling the fam-tram at Merrittville Speedway, sharing one of his signature waves or silly sayings, or helping someone in need, Nick brought joy, laughter, and smiles wherever he went. Though his passing on April 6th, was sudden and leaves an immeasurable void, the memories, laughter, and love he shared will remain with us forever.
Family and friends are invited to an outdoor Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 21st beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Konyi residence. The afternoon will include light food and refreshments, plenty of stories, a few engines, laughter, and time together to honour Nick the way he would have wanted — surrounded by family, friends, engines, and good memories.
Guests are encouraged to come casual and comfortable in true “Nick fashion” — track pants and inappropriate t-shirts are not only welcomed, but highly encouraged.
Please bring a lawn chair, as the celebration will take place outdoors rain or shine. Parking will be available on-site and along the road where permitted.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Nick’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or Diabetes Canada.
