Two unique events will take place at St. Peter’s Church in the Great Valley as our nation approaches a significant anniversary on July 4. The community is invited for each of these special events.
Historic St. Peter’s Churchyard Tour
Wednesday, June 17th , 5:30 pm
David Tatum will conduct a unique tour of the churchyard at St. Peter’s Church. Dave, a St. Peter’s parishioner, is immersed in our history beginning with the earliest Welsh settlers who in 1700 buried their dead on this high hill. A nearby log chapel was used for worship. Extensive research also strongly suggests this church as the burial site for the three British soldiers killed during the Battle of Paoli on September 20, 1777.
All are invited to attend.
