About this Event
Join KAMA DC, Nigerian Center, and African Communities Together for a night of storytelling to celebrate Black History Month!
For this event, we will hear from Black immigrants from diverse background sharing stories of joy. Together, we’ll celebrate Black history through voices that uplift, inspire, and connect.
Food will be included for all ticket holders, so come hungry!

African Communities Together is an organization of African immigrants fighting for civil rights, opportunity, and a better life for our families here in the U.S. and worldwide. ACT empowers African immigrants to integrate socially, advance economically, and engage civically, and connects African immigrants to critical services, help Africans develop as leaders, and organize our communities on the issues that matter.
About Nigerian Center
The Nigerian Center's mission is to offer financial inclusion and social justice opportunities for members of the African immigrant community. We educate, empower, uplift, and assist all immigrant families in acclimating to life in the United States through policy advocacy, cultural, legal aid services, entrepreneurship, and homeownership opportunities.
About KAMA DC
KAMA DC is a volunteer-run non-profit that provides a platform for immigrants and refugees living in the DMV area to share their stories and skills. Since 2016, KAMA aims to put on high quality storytelling events and classes led by immigrants and refugees, and also manages the D.C. Immigration Film Festival.
