Celebrate the Dawn Chorus; a stroll along the River Crane

This year we are again holding a dawn bird walk from the Shot Tower along the Crane to see the birds at dawn and celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day. Take a walk and catch the early morning birds in Crane Park with our expert Keith Martin. We firstly meet in the meadow to listen as the birds wake up, and then go on to the island to spot the birds flying. You will be surprised to learn about the number of species we have living close by.

The walk starts early, just before at dawn from the Shot Tower ( What3words location is host.about.scope ). No dogs on the walk today thank you as they scare the birds !

Do wear sturdy footwear and in clothing suitable for the weather on that day. Plus bring a torch as it is dark when we start. Due to safeguarding needs all children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. We are a very sociable group and look forward to meeting you.
