Col. Thornton one of the U.S. Army’s highest-ranking female officers when she retired earned a Bronze Star in Desert Storm. Throughout her career Ms. Thornton was the “first woman” to serve in all of her posts during her 27-year military career. Come learn how women were integrated into the US Army.
