Celebrate & Create: Zine Making Workshop for Trans Awareness Week

Join Leah (they/them) for a fun, free zine-making workshop in celebration of Trans Awareness Week! This workshop is open to all trans and gender-diverse folks, along with friends and allies who want to connect, create, and celebrate together. Whether you’re new to zines or have been making them for years, this is a space for all skill levels—no prior experience needed!

What’s a zine, you ask? Zines (pronounced zeens) are small, self-made booklets filled with anything you can imagine—stories, artwork, poetry, collages, and more. They’re an amazing way to express yourself and share your unique perspective with others, using just paper, glue, and a little creativity!

We’ll provide all the materials you need to make your zine, but feel free to bring along any extra items you’d like to include, like photos or personal mementos. Refreshments will be provided, and you’re welcome to bring your favorite snacks to share with the group.

Important Notes:

• All ages are welcome, but anyone 12 or under must bring a parent or carer.
• Limited space! To keep things cozy and comfortable, please RSVP.
• This is a free event with all supplies included!
• Like all ICC events, this is a safe and inclusive space. Your pronouns are important to us. and support workers/people are always welcome!
