About this Event

Join us for an evening of community, food, music, poetry and artwork and help us raise funds to continue our vital work in Southwark.

Throughout the evening, you'll enjoy an inspiring programme of guest speakers. There will be a unique People Library where guests can sit down and have real conversations with people who bring different kinds of insight into homelessness: those with lived experience, practitioners who work directly with people facing homelessness, and advocates in the space. We will also have a powerful exhibition of poetry and artwork exploring themes of homelessness, housing, and community.

There will also be original paintings available through our silent auction, exciting raffle prizes to be won, and plenty of opportunities to connect with others who care about making a difference. We'll be serving a delicious dinner, drinks, and great music, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for meaningful conversations, new connections, and an unforgettable evening of fundraising and community.

More about our mission:

For the past five years, Kineara has stood beside the Southwark community during the housing emergency. We have helped families avoid eviction, supported rough sleepers into homes, helped clients access benefits and understand their rights, and provided holistic support through some of life’s hardest moments such as unemployment, relationship breakdown, health struggles, and housing instability.

Through our Rent Support Programme (RSP+) and School Housing Advice Project, we became a bridge between families, schools, councils, landlords, and legal services, making sure no one had to navigate the housing system alone.

But now, these services are at immediate risk of ending. Funding for two of our Southwark projects ends in September 2026. Without urgent support, vulnerable families will lose access to essential housing advocacy and advice at a time when demand is already overwhelming local services. This event aims to raise £20,000 to keep these projects running.
