Join us for the next installment of our Speaker Series at Saint Joseph the Workman Cathedral as we explore the importance of Catholics participating in political discourse. This timely and thoughtful evening will feature two distinguished members of our community who bring decades of experience in public service, public policy, and civic leadership.
Tuesday, September 1
6:30 PM
Saint Joseph's Hall
All are welcome!
Chris Kahlow has been actively involved in the revitalization and historic preservation of downtown La Crosse since purchasing her home there in 1991. Over the years, she has served on the Board of Park Commissioners and the Heritage Preservation Commission before being elected in 2019 to represent La Crosse's Sixth District on the City Council. She also served four years as President of the Board of Park Commissioners, was elected Council President for a two-year term ending in 2025, and ran for Mayor of La Crosse in 2025, narrowly missing election by less than one percent. She continues to faithfully serve the residents of La Crosse's Sixth District as their council representative.
Gregg Peppin has spent nearly forty years at the intersection of public policy and politics. For twenty years, he worked for the Republican Caucus in the Minnesota House of Representatives, serving in roles that included Research Analyst, Research Director, Assistant to the Majority Leader, and Executive Assistant to the Speaker of the House. In 2008, Gregg founded P2B Strategies, a marketing communications company serving corporate clients, small businesses, trade and nonprofit associations, and political candidates. Gregg and his wife, Joyce, have been parishioners of Saint Joseph the Workman Cathedral since 2021 and are the proud parents of two adult daughters.
Whether you are deeply engaged in civic life or simply seeking to better understand the Catholic perspective on faithful citizenship, this evening promises to be an informative and respectful discussion. We hope you will join us and invite a friend. All are welcome.
