Opening night for cartoon drawing exhibition at the 1 in 12 and launch of a 25 track fundraising benefit compilation and zine raising money for the club. Acts playing:
Lewis Pugh: acoustic folk, bluegrass, skiffle, punk — a brilliant musician with a new album out and a back catalogue of hits so thorough he makes the Argos catalogue look like a mere pamphlet.
Captain South America: folk punk fusion, blending, punk, hip hop, Latino rhythms — revolutionary and fun, great for dancing.
Blue Orchid Reaction: anthemic indie rock, uplifting melodies, great riffs and highly harmonic — full sounding tunes.
Rabies Babies: anarcho garage punk trio, feminist, fun and bloody fine music coming all the way from that London — been making a glorious racket since 1998, they also got a great cartoon artist in the band!
We have Yaya doing some live art on the night that you can get involved with during the course of the exhibit.
Doors at 7pm, first act 7:30pm; come check out the exhibits and enjoy the art and performances that are to follow.
The exhibit will run until 22nd November and there are some more events planned along the time and an art afternoon.
The 1 in 12 is Bradford’s favourite anarchist club; promoting liberty, equality and solidarity since 1981.
