Caregiver / Parent Support Groups
Our support group provides accessible, affirming mental health support for parents, grandparents, family and caretakers of LGBTQ+ youth and gender-expansive youth. The purpose is to normalize shared experiences, reduce isolation, and provide peer support in a safe, affirming environment. Groups are led by Joseph Anastasio of Delaware Psychological Services (DPS).
The group meets 2x/month on Saturdays from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at Delaware Psychological Services, 16287 Willow Creek Rd, Lewes, DE 19958.
Joseph Anastasio, MS, LCSW
Joseph is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, providing psycho- therapeutic services. His areas of specialization include: EMDR, grief and bereavement, children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities, alternatives to violence, restorative practices, mediation with couples & families, and issues facing the LGBTQ+ community.
