DESCRIPTIONJoin the Seashore Striders in Lewes for the 22nd annual Cannonball 5k Run & Walk. The Cannonball 5k is a flat & fast course through the Town of Lewes. The race will start and finish at the Lewes Historical Society with a beautiful course through historic Lewes taking in a course often called "the most beautiful race course in Delaware."
About the Cannonball House:
Sitting prominently on the corner of Front and Bank Streets, the Cannonball House has witnessed centuries of Lewes’ history unfold and served many purposes over its storied past. After defiantly enduring a British Naval bombardment in 1813, the Cannonball House has now come to represent the mission of Historic Lewes and Lewes' proud maritime heritage.
Following an analysis by the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS), the Cannonball House now requires extensive repairs and maintenance to ensure the sustainability of this…
